GFV Grands Bourgognes Bellene
This GFV is composed of two vineyards located in Volnay and Santenay. The Volnay Vineyard, a Pinot Noir vintage, grows on an oolitic limestone soil comparable to the Morvan porphyry. The Santenay vineyard is a Chardonnay vintage that also grows on an oolitic limestone soil, perfectly sun-exposed from dawn till noon. Vines are cared for following the principles of Biological Agriculture, using man and horse powers. Grapes are harvested by hand.

Introducing the domain Domaine de Bellene
Nicolas Potel created the Domaine du Bellene in 2005, using an environmentally friendly approach to nature and terroirs. An organic certification was awarded to the domain in 2006, recognising their biodynamic work in the vineyards. Methods revolve around manual handling of the vineyard, including horse-powered soil processing to preserve the land and vegetation. Other plots also benefit from a management largely inspired by biodynamic techniques.
